Fog of War

This is a documentary in which Bob McNamara imparts some of the wisdom he’s picked up from being a tactician in the first world war, an executive in the Ford motor company (including a brief stint as president) and secretary of defence during which he dealt with the Cuban missile crisis and the Vietnam war.

McNamara’s principle seems to lie between a modern day _Art of War_, or Art of Peace; something like `The Art of Minimizing War through Brutality’.

Often very frank, but only on points he wants to discuss. A fascinating film, not just about history, but about a person.
